Phil Couture began his financial career as a Financial Planner, but the market’s collapse in 1987 made him realize that his clients’ needs went beyond a financial plan.  Even more important was helping them build financial security through proper management of their assets.

Phil Couture

Phil Couture is dedicated to ensuring that the investment advice offered clients is both competent and free of conflicts of interest, and to serving clients with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

He believes in helping clients understand their choices through an objective overview of their alternatives to enable them to make sound decisions regarding the management of their assets.

In addition to the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Phil Couture holds professional licenses allowing him to conduct and supervise transactions in securities investments and insurance products.

He has served continuously in financial planning organizations since the early 1990s and is currently Treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of the Suncoast (Sarasota-Manatee FPA). As Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Sarasota Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planners, Phil was responsible for the organization’s continuing education provided for local planners.

In addition to extensive professional studies, Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and has created and taught adult education classes, seminars and workshops. He served on the Financial Planning Advisory Board at Chapman College in Orange, California and has received numerous industry recognitions.

Phil holds series 7, 24, 27, and 63 securities licenses and appropriate insurance licenses. He has been a Certified Financial Planner™ since 1986 and was one of the earliest financial professionals to receive the designation.

Lance Couture

With an investment professional for a father, Lance Couture grew up surrounded by the nuances and changes of the financial markets. He has worked for Couture Financial since 1995 and is today Vice President of Operations. Lance's forte is systems technology and organization, and he holds series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses and appropriate insurance licenses.

Couture Financial's Office Manager, Terry Best, assists with client communications and account administration.  Terry has an exceptional background in office administration in communications, banking, and medical services.
